Why do our minds hold us in recurring negative thought patterns or a sense of suffering?

The only thing we do all day long is experience our minds and the stories we tell ourselves.

Suffering occurs when either:

  1. The event is not being perceived accurately, as our belief systems are distorting our perceptions.   And our expectations of how it should be, is not realistic.  This is the recipe for unhappiness.

  2. The mind is always looking for ways to feel safe.  If it is not focused on something outside of ourselves, it will naturally turn inwards, and look for things that are not working and needs fixing. It’s actually providing us with an opportunity to release emotional blockages.

In this gathering, you will explore the seven blind spots to our belief system and the six false illusions, or pathways the mind uses to navigate us through our reality.  We will shed light on the subconscious processes that are running the show.  What is the mind focusing on?  And why does it do that? The more you know about yourself, the more choices you can offer to your mind when the triggers occur.

We will conclude with helpful, and practical tips on how to manage these moods more effectively.  Easy steps that we can take starting today.  Your mind is there to serve you.  It is a muscle.  Let’s get it to “go fetch” something new.  A new way of being.

As usual, the last hour will be spent sharing how we feel about what we just learnt.  What inspired you?

Limited guests to 20 people.  $30 can be paid in person or by e-transfering to Lynda.Hofmann@hotmail.com.  Thank you in advance for this consideration.

Please bring a yoga mat, or a cushion to sit comfortably.  I will provide notes for you to take home.

Looking forward to our time together!
